Eric A. Scott

Eric is an experienced trial lawyer whose practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation and business disputes.  He has represented a wide variety of clients, including family-owned businesses, large corporations, and individuals, in matters ranging from the theft of highly technical trade secrets to the theft of cattle.  Eric has helped navigate messy business break-ups and is frequently retained in probate litigation matters.

A native of Virginia, Eric began his practice in Atlanta, where he handled insurance defense, premises liability, and product liability cases. He moved to San Antonio in 2003 and joined the local office of a large nationwide firm, where he practiced for 10 years. During this time, he served as national discovery counsel for a multi-national corporation, analyzing trade secret issues, training junior attorneys, guiding and coordinating local counsel in other states in preparing discovery responses and motions, and overseeing large-scale document productions.

In 2013, Eric began working at the Oliver Law Firm, primarily handling commercial and probate litigation.  This continues to be the focus of his practice following the merger of the Oliver Law Firm with Prichard Young in July 2024.

When not in the office, Eric enjoys scuba diving, hiking, reading, and spending time with his wife and twin sons.
